    Status Description: In addition to the FIAP, Canada committed to adopting a holistic FFP. The FFP was originally scheduled to be released in 2020, but the government has yet to release any formal documentation despite stating it is guided by an FFP in a 2021-2022 report to Parliament.

    Status Description: The government has not made any further declarations of its commitment to FFP nor its abandonment of the commitment since its original announcement in 2021 at the Generation Equality Forum. However, the only outspoken government official on FFP -- former Foreign Minister Najla El Mangoush -- was dismissed from her position in August 2023. The government's commitment is likely to remain unfulfilled.
